The inaugural Something in the Water Festival in Virginia Beach, Va. is going down this weekend and the Pharrell-commissioned event has already featured some big surprises. On Saturday night (April 27), Jay-Z made a special guest appearance on Skateboard P's set.

Hov popped up during Pharrell's performance of his hit song "Frontin'" and surprised the whole crowd who went nuts. The Brooklyn rapper stayed to belt out more jams including "Public Service Announcement," "Excuse Me Miss (Remix)," "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)" and more.

The three-day festival concludes on Sunday (April 28). Pusha-T, DRAM, Chris Brown, Jhene Aiko, Teddy Riley and friends, Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals and more are set to take the stage to close things out.

Hov has been making his rounds. On Friday night (April 26), he headlined the B-Sides 2 show at Webster Hall in New York City. At that show, he performed a new freestyle and paid homage to Nipsey Hussle. "Gentrify your own hood before the people do it/Play imminent domain and have your people moving/That's a small glimpse into what Nipsey was doing/To anybody still confused as to what he was doing," Jay rapped.

Jigga also brought out Nas, Cam'ron and Jim Jones, publically deading his longheld beef with the latter two. What a time to be alive.
