In Texas, the best way to get rid of a building that we don't need is to destroy it! In a proper way of course. The best way to do it is to bring it down using a demolition team & explosives to bring a building down safely. We've seen some historic buildings be brought down in extravagant fashion; including these ones.

Here are some of the most historic buildings ever torn down in Texas

We couldn't mention about historic buildings being torn down in Texas without mentioning the Sheraton-Lincoln Hotel in Houston, Texas; it opened up on June 4, 1962, it would be vacated in 1986 & would be torn down in 2011.

These ones we've included all have photos & videos of their destruction so...get the tissues ready as we look back on these buildings that we said goodbye to over the years.

The Ocean Towers in South Padre Island; they opened up in 2008 but were never finished. They were torn down the next year in 2009. The towers were gone in 30 seconds.

Those living in El Paso, Texas will remember the demolition of the ASARCO Tower on April 13, 2013. It was a huge landmark for those traveling along I-10 and in just seconds, it was gone...

Residents of Rockdale, Texas were pretty upset by the implosion of the Aloca plant. This one was pretty significant because...well the town wasn't AWARE of the demolition so they were pretty upset by it.
