San Antonio, Texas is now the latest metro to experience an armed robbery of an armored truck drive that was in the middle of attempting to restock an ATM outside of a Bank of America with cash, and it is beginning to beg the question of why do these workers not have a partner to watch their back as they perform their duties?

Just a few weeks ago an armored truck operator was in a shootout with three gunmen who attempted to rob him while performing a similar job task in Houston. This time, a Loomis employee in San Antonio was held at gunpoint to the face while he was disarmed and cash was stolen.

According to this KENS article, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office were investigating multiple sights simultaneously as they tracked the armed robbers from the scene of the crime to where it appears they dumped their getaway vehicle a few blocks away. Also, ATM apparatus was found along the roadway from what appears to be the criminals disposing of unwanted items taken during the robbery.

Investigators were able to share that a similar type robbery had happened in close proximity to this one just about a year ago, and they are seeking answers about whether or not the crimes are related.
