Texans Will Enjoy Tom Green’s New Remarkably Good Album
Comedian Tom Green has released a new country album, and it's really good. The album came out at the same time as his new show on Amazon Prime, Tom Green Country, and the album features the theme song for the show, Home to the Country.
Tom Green is a comedy icon, a groundbreaking artist with the use of streaming on the internet, and an inspiration for acts like Eric Andre, Jack Ass, and many more. Tom is originally from Ottawa, Canada, but he has had an incredibly successful career here in the United States since The Tom Green Show was picked up by MTV in 1999.
Now, after 25 years here in the good ole' US of A, Tom Green is returning to Canada to live on a farm, and he has documented the experience with his new show on Amazon Prime, Tom Green Country. His new country album, Home to the Country, is out now, and he sat down with me for a little bit this weekend to talk to me about it.
Tom recorded the album at The Tragically Hip's studio. He also covers their song Ahead by Century on the album. He also covers Canadian Artists Bryan Adams, Bare Naked Ladies, and Gordon Lightfoot. All of the other songs on the 45-minute album are originals written and composed by Tom Green.
If you're a fan of Tom Green or just country music in general be sure to give his album Home to the Country a listen, and make sure you check out his new show, Tom Green Country, on Amazon Prime Video.
