A Baylor University Student Teacher Is Removed from a School

The Baylor graduate student was assigned to Midway Middle School for the student teacher portion of his degree when Principal Kayla Brown said he made “highly inappropriate posts and comments” on social media following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University.

According to KWTX ,the person reportedly wrote “This makes me giggle” in reference to the assassination. Brown said he is not a Midway ISD employee and will not be permitted to teach students at Midway ISD.

Baylor University Responds to the Graduate Student Comments About Charlie Kirk

In response to the 'inappropriate" comments, below is the official statement from Baylor university which states "This student does not represent Baylor University in any capacity. He is not a member of the faculty, nor has he been part of the intercollegiate athletics program."

Who Is Charlie Kirk?

Conservative radio show host and podcaster Charlie Kirk was known for his “Prove Me Wrong” debate sessions on college campuses. Kirk founded Turning Point USA at the age of 18 with the goal of bringing a conservative voice to college campuses nationwide.

Turning Point USA  is a non profit organization that promotes conservative ideology on high school, college, and university campuses. Founded in 2012, it includes affiliate groups Turning Point Endowment, Turning Point Action and TPUSA Faith.

In 2016, Turning Point USA launched Professor Watchlist. The website documents university educators who exhibit discriminatory behavior towards conservative students while promoting far left ideology in the classroom. In 2021, a School Board Watchlist was launched to document school board members who demanded mask mandates and the teaching of Critical Race Theory.
