Many in the area of Central Texas were worried and concerned following reports that violence would occur at schools. Here's what is known at time of writing.

Shooting Threat Posted Towards Multiple Schools In Central Texas

As reported by KXAN, many school districts in Central Texas, several to be exact, were alerted to threats of shooting occurring. Hays CISD, following being alerted to the violent remarks, promptly got police involved to investigate.

Per KXAN, law enforcement in the area stated by email that "Those threats have been determined to have originated outside of our area and are similar to threats that circulated [Wednesday] in other parts of the state...“We continue to believe that there is no actual threat to the campus; but we also continue to remain vigilant, active in the investigation, and steadfast in our efforts to ensure all campuses are safe.”

Marble Falls ISD revealed in a post to social media of the threats themselves:

As seen in the post, school remained in normal operations, with no concerns about any violence towards the schools themselves. These threats however have not only been at schools in the Central Texas area. Recently, schools in Dallas have also had the threats of violence appear towards learning institutions in their area as well.

At the time of writing, the individual or individuals who have written the posts have not been identified. As this a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
