This weekend, in Belton, Texas, a protest will take place from 3 to 5 PM. It is a part of "No Kings Day." Here's what the event is set to have.

Why Is The Event Taking Place?

The event, "No Kings Day," is not just taking place in the city of Belton. It is part of a nationwide event. The press revealed that it is "a nationwide day of peaceful action against Trump’s attacks on immigrants, LGBTQ people, children and their education, people seeking reproductive care, and so many more."

In a statement from the press release, a No Kings Day: Bell County volunteer organizer, Solange Hommel, said the following:

“As President Trump continues to play dictator, we’re standing up again to push back against his authoritarian attacks on Americans and American values...Our peaceful day of action is going to unite people from all over Bell County to say: Power belongs to the people!"

The last time one of these protests, across the nation, took place was on June 14, 2025. The press release stated that a total of over 600 people went to Belton to participate.

What Else Are Organizers Doing Besides The Protest Itself?

The release also states that the protest will assisting in collecting money for the Central Texas Food Bank. The release revealed that CFTB helps many in the area of Central Texas obtain food when is it difficult to get.
