Texas’ Favorite Superhero is Shared with 24 Other States
The most important question one can ask, upon first meeting another, is one we have heard many a time since the 1930's: Marvel or DC?
Superheroes have kept children and adults entertained for decades. The physical embodiment of strength, courage, and bravery have enthralled fans all over the world.
Growing up, I had always been more DC-inclined with Batman taking the title of my favorite childhood superhero. This soon changed after watching the cinematic masterpiece that is Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 1, 2, and 3 starring Tobey Maguire.
It seems, however, that I am not the only one who has been tempted to the dark side and coaxed to abandon the DC life. It turns out, half of America feels the same way with 25 U.S. states (Texas included) holding Spider-Man as their most popular superhero.
Fan favorites across the country
According to data gathered by wisevoter, Texas was among 24 other states who favor Spider-Man, including Washington, California, South Dakota and Florida, to name a few.
Batman came in close second with 10 states in favor of the Dark Knight, like Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and New York.
Superman fans surprised me with this one, as only 4 states had the Man of Steel as their most popular: Arkansas, Kansas (of course), Wyoming and Idaho.
The remainder of the states are made up of Wolverine, Captain Marvel, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Black Panther, Captain America and Iron Man fans.
There you have it; now we know where America's loyalties lie when it comes to the important issues.
