That became obvious when we asked 102.3 The Bull's Facebook community: “What’s something you did as a kid that kids today wouldn’t understand?” The answers flooded in, highlighting just how much has changed—and how much of childhood magic may be slipping through the cracks.

Imagine a time when plans were made days in advance, with only vague details and maybe a hand-drawn map scrawled on a piece of notebook paper. Friends might plan to meet at a specific spot, say, the “big oak tree by the park,” with nothing but trust and their sense of adventure guiding them. Today’s kids may never know the thrill of such uncertainty, relying on location-sharing apps and instant updates to manage their every move.
Then there were the epic afternoons spent rewinding cassette tapes with pencils, waiting for favorite songs to play on the radio just so they could record them. Or the subtle, now outdated art of slamming down a landline phone for dramatic effect after an argument—an action that carried weight in a way that pressing the “end call” button never could.
