Serious Crime Started in Texas Now Spreading Quickly
It was just last month that I was telling you about a crime ring that kept stealing vehicles at major Texas airports. Like at DFW where 52 vehicles were taken with the total value over $5 million dollars' worth of cars and trucks taken by thieves.
Law enforcement knows the criminals are going after expensive vehicles and it’s difficult to track these professional criminals. Although it’s not just Texas Law Enforcement that needs to worry about this issue.
Car Theft a Big Problem at Major Airports
While I was visiting with family recently the news was on in the background, and I heard a news story about car thefts at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport. There have been more than 300 vehicle thefts so far this year, which is triple the amount they saw in 2023.
Be Careful Parking at Any Major Airport
With so many thefts taking place at major airports across the country, you need to be very careful when you park at an airport before boarding your flight. Obviously, make sure you lock your vehicle. But it might be worth looking into other parking options as vehicle theft just continues to be a problem.
Law Enforcement is Actively Working on Thefts at Airports
If I notice that vehicle theft is taking place at multiple major airports across the country, I am certain that law enforcement realizes this too. We know that security is extra tight this holiday season with so many vehicle thefts taking place this year.
But if you know anyone who is going to be traveling soon, you might want to tell them to be extra careful where they decide to park their vehicle before jumping on a plane.
