Pork, one of the most popular meats in the world, now has a doppelganger.

Impossible Meats just announced its rollout of alternative pork, and is partnering with Burger King, on a “Croissan’wich” that will be offered at 139 outposts in the coming weeks. The new  Impossible Croissan’wich will be made with dairy cheese, chicken eggs, and non-vegan croissants, so while the pork substitute itself is plant-based the rest of the sandwich isn't.

Impossible Meats debuted its new range of pork products at the Consumer Electronics Show, the world's largest technology trade show, where CEO Pat Brown introduced the new meatless pork via video presentation.

Impossible Foods is working to develop plant-based versions of dairy, fish, shrimp and poultry to fulfill its mission to replace all animal products with plant-based alternatives by 2035.
