Ho No No! Texas Bar Bans Popular Mariah Carey Christmas Song
Is it too early to get into the Christmas spirit? Depends on who you ask, but one Texas bar is making sure that one of the most popular Christmas songs of all time has a limited run.
A bar in Dallas posted a sign on its jukebox warning people that "All I Want for Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey will not be tolerated before December 1st.
The Tweet said, "Is this the war on Christmas I've heard about?"
Laura Garrison, the bar's general manager, tells CNN “Once we hear those twinkles, we run for the remote."
Garrison goes on to say that she doesn't hate Mariah Carey or Christmas, but it gets played so much during the holiday season that the staff is on high alert and ready to skip it once they hear it.

Looks like the Queen of Christmas is ready for whatever 'Christmas' battle comes her way.
Released in 1994 from her fourth studio album, and first holiday album, "All I Want for Christmas is You" is the best-selling Christmas single by a female artist and one of the best-selling singles of all time. It would top the US Charts 25 years after it was released, setting the record for longest climb to number 1.
This sign on the jukebox has certainly brought a lot of attention to this Christmas standard, but it really does beg the classic question: when is it too early to start with the Christmas music - before December 1st, or after?
Mariah Carey fans will tell you immediately following Halloween, but an old Grinch like me will say December 1st or later.
