Join Your Neighbors: Killeen’s Official Hispanic Heritage Month Reception
The city of Killeen hosted an event in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month with a celebration and reception at City Hall today at 2 PM. The event took place in the City Council Chamber on the first floor of City Hall, located at 101 N. College St.

Honor the Legacy: Be Part of Killeen's Hispanic Heritage Celebration
I look forward to this event every year. The community is invited to come out, attend, and truly enjoy the culture, history, and contributions of Hispanic Americans. Several organizations were also invited to this meaningful event, including the Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce – Central Texas, Sociología Cultural Hispano Americano, the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Council 4297, and the Killeen-Fort Hood League of United Latin American Citizens Council.
Experience the Richness: Attend Killeen's Heritage Month Reception
Killeen’s own Mayor Debbie Nash-King presented an official proclamation during the celebration.
This year marks 60 years of recognizing Hispanic heritage in the United States. National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15, giving the community an opportunity not only to celebrate but to learn more about the history, culture, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors come from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
