The city of Austin Texas literally celebrates this holiday every year with a festival called the Reggae Festival. That’s right - you can see people who literally work at the capital sharing a joint or some type of cannabis with the local hipster of the city. People smoke all day, have a good time laughing, forget what they are laughing about, and enjoy some great food and vibes.
WHY IS FOR 4/20 CELEBRATED ON THAT DAY?
Legend has it that a group of potheads in San Rafael, California, in the early 1970s used to get high at 4:20 p.m. in front of a statue of scientist Louis Pasteur. This led to 420 being code for anything marijuana-related.
