Frito-Lay Issues Recall on Lightly Salted BBQ Chips

I'm having a tough choice with this one because of the launch of Doritos Pickle Chips.

If you're allergic to milk or have milk issues, you need to pay attention to this announcement.

Frito-Lay issued a limited voluntary recall of their Lay's Lightly Salted Barbecue Flavored Potato Chips in the 7 3/4 oz. bags because they may contain undeclared milk ingredients.

Now here is where my problem comes in. Should I risk the possibility of death from an allergic reaction to the very tasty Lays chip, or should I risk dying of projectile vomiting the new Intense Pickle Flavored Doritos?

I once tossed a friend out of my car because he brought in a pickle to eat. I mean really!? I'm trying not to kill people with this car and you bring in a food soaked in vinegar after it was on the verge of going bad. I'm more than likely going to projectile vomit all over the windshield, pass out, and crash the car. Yea, I'm taking my chance with the milk chips.

Anyway, back to the recall... The products covered by this recall were distributed in retail locations in the following states: Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

The recalled products have both a “Guaranteed Fresh” date of 27 AUG 2019 and a nine-character manufacturing code that includes the numbers “29” in the second and third position (example: x29xxxxxx) listed below the “Guaranteed Fresh” date. These numbers can be found on the right side of the front of the bag. In addition, the recalled bags will also have a UPC code of “28400 63242” listed on the bottom left side of the back of the bag.

Consumers with the product noted above can return the product to a retailer for a refund or contact Frito-Lay Consumer Relations at 1-800-352-4477 (9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. CST, Monday-Friday).
