The incident is said to have occurred at approximately 7 PM. Being that we're right in the middle of summer, that means the alleged assault happened in broad daylight.

The woman was pumping gas when she was approached and grabbed by a man described to be approximately six feet tall with a thin build and of African American descent. At the time of the alleged assault, the man was dressed in a black hoodie with a black face mask, denim shorts, and what appeared to be black shoes, possibly with a white backing.

Luckily for the woman, she was able to escape his grasp and run for safety. Unfortunately, the suspect did not give up easily, and the victim says he shot multiple rounds into the passenger side of her vehicle. Police were dispatched in response to a call of shots fired, but the suspect fled the scene before they arrived.

Witnesses report that the man ran on foot away from the convenience store before entering a white Chevrolet Impala that was parked off-site. The vehicle also did not have license plates.

Police are investigating the incident and are asking the public for their assistance. If you have any information relating to the alleged assault on June 9, please contact the Bellmead Police Department at 254-799-0251.
