We are looking at widespread freezing temperatures Monday night into Tuesday morning. Lows will drop into the lower 20s northwest of the Metroplex. Mid 20s to near 30 can be expected elsewhere.

This means you will want to take care of your outdoor plants and bring them indoors. If you are like the folks at my apartment you'll want to shut off those lawn sprinklers that come on at 5 AM because you'll just be icing up your sidewalk if you leave them on.

If you commute early Tuesday watch for slick spots and sidewalks and pavement.

A Freeze Warning means that the season`s first episode of sub-freezing temperatures is likely to occur.
