We have to send out congratulations to the legendary Freddie Jackson who recently became one of the honorees at the 2019 Black Music Honors.

Freddie was honored alongside R&B group Xscape, gospel icon Yolanda Adams, hip hop legends Arrested Development & R&B diva Tamia at this year's show which took place in Atlanta. The TV special is set to air on BounceTV so check your local listings for air dates.

Just because folks are making sure Freddie is getting his just due now doesn't mean that he's slowing down or has stopped working. Melz On The MIC caught up with the R&B legend recently and talked to him about receiving the 2019 Black Music Honor and Jackson went on to announce that he's working on a new album that he's producing and he gave us a listen to his first single "A Million Ways".
