It’s time to grab your popcorn, your favorite snacks, a cozy blanket, and head to the park—because the City of Killeen is bringing back one of its most popular summer traditions! Now that the kiddos are out of school, Free Movies in the Park returns, starting June 27. This beloved event offers fun, family-friendly entertainment at no cost and will take place over three Fridays in June and July.

Kick Off Summer with Free Movies in Killeen Parks June 21!

According to a City of Killeen press release, the movie series will feature three films: two at the Killeen Athletic Complex (2201 E. Memorial Blvd.) and one at Long Branch Pool (1101 Branch Dr.). The schedule kicks off with Disney’s Tarzan on June 27 at the Killeen Athletic Complex. On July 11, Surf’s Up will be shown poolside at Long Branch Pool. Finally, Pixar’s WALL-E will close out the series on July 25, back at the Killeen Athletic Complex.

Each event begins at 7:30 PM, with the movie starting shortly after dusk. Popcorn and the movie are free, but additional snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. Expect games, giveaways, and a laid-back atmosphere perfect for a summer evening out.
