
Ex-School Employee Charged with Sexual Assault of a Child
Charles Poling, a staff member of the Bartlett ISD, was arrested on January 16 for an inappropriate relationship between an educator and a student, as well as for sexual assault of a child, according to KWTX. The district stated that they became aware of the inappropriate relationship on August 23, 2024, at which point Poling was placed on leave. The Bartlett Independent School District also indicated that the local police department and child services were contacted, and additional counselors will be made available on campus to support those affected by the incident.

Superintendent Dr. Teddy Clevinger emphasized that the safety and well-being of the community are always the top priorities for Bartlett ISD. He assured that the district will take all necessary steps to ensure the safety, health, and support of our Bartlett family.
