There were at least 28 personnel that responded to the home, including the fire, engine tracks, a two-tower ladder, a truck one heavy rescue vehicle, one ambulance, two battalion chiefs, two EMCs, supervisors, and one engine company. Someone who is a resident of the home had to call in about the fire and on the arrival, the crew realized there was a heavy fire coming from the Garage. The flames in the house had already burned through the roof and two vehicles in the driveway.
The owner of the home states that all four occupants and one dog living there evacuated the home safely and a resident did say that there was a second pet inside, but after a continuous search, no other pets were found inside the house. The firefighters remained on the scene until 5 AM and the crew believed the fire started in the actual garage space. As of right now no one is sure how the fire started but the Killeen Fire Marshal's office is investigating the incident.
