Cans and Coats Drive to Benefit Central Texans in Need

Our friends at Dodge Country Used Cars in Killeen are collecting cans and coats for a great cause.

From now through Saturday, November 30, you can donate canned goods and new or gently used coats at Dodge Country Used, 410 South Fort Hood Street, to benefit Central Texas families in need this holiday season.

The coats will be donated to Families in Crisis, and the folks there say they need children's coats the most. If your little ones have grown out of their coats, please consider donating so that another local child can keep warm. If you can spare a little extra as you do your early Christmas shopping, think about picking up a new coat to benefit a child in need.

Canned goods will go to the Food Care Center in Killeen. Canned meats, tuna, peanut butter, dried beans, soups, and stews, along with canned Thanksgiving and Christmas trimmings will go to help those in need right here in Central Texas.

Donations can be left with the Dodge Country Used staff during their business hours, Monday through Saturday 8 AM to 8 PM.
