Congratulations are for the city of Killeen as the Killeen Regional Airport celebrating 20 years. The city of Killeen stated that there will be a celebration for the 20th anniversary of Killeen’s regional airport on Friday, August 2 at 2 PM on the airport's second floor.

US congressman Chet Edwards, State Representative and former Killeen mayor, Scott Casper, Brad Buckley state representative, and mayor, Debbie Nash-King, Fort Cavazo Garrison commander Colonel Lakicia Stokes, executive director of aviation, Mike Wilson, and Killeen assist city manager Laurie Wilson will all be included at this joyous occasion.

It was March 2003 when the groundbreaking took place for this airport and was officially opened on August 2, 2004. This airport has been a regional destination for American/American Eagle Airlines airlines also, it has been served by Delta, United, Continental, and others as well as charter flights. This 91,000 ft.² terminal building has more than 1500 parking spaces and a runway that can host one of the largest aircraft that have been built. Come out and celebrate 20 years with the Killeen Regional Airport!
