Back in the 90s, the city of Belton, Texas had a hockey team named the Central Texas Stampede. Lasting for five years, the team captured the heart of the area, and is remembered fondly. But, could there be a chance that it's time for a return?
What Is Pointing To A Return Of The Central Texas Stampede?
Recently, some on social media have noticed the appearance of social media accounts for the Central Texas Stampede. A Facebook page and an X account recently appeared this year. A website was also created too.
All have teased the return of the team to the Central Texas area. Which, in the opinion of the writer, would great to see. Not only would potentially create new hockey fans, the Cadence Bank Center would see more visitors!

But, is this actually true? Or is it a possible prank?
Is The Central Texas Stampede Coming Back Soon?
The Cadence Bank Center recently posted to social media, that they have no plans for the Central Texas Stampede to come to the arena:
The Facebook page also confirmed in a post that they loved the excitement for the team returning, but there's still a lot of work to be done:
So, in short, this doesn't appear to be a joke or an attempt to mess with the Central Texas area. At the time of writing, it looks like the team's return is in its early stages. But, it seems soon that the Stampede are set to run in Central Texas again.
