Those affected by COVID-19 job lay-offs, or just anybody looking for a job here in Central Texas, can attend the virtual job fair happening tomorrow from 8-5pm.

Polish up that resume, as Krista Tolbert with Fox 44 reports that employers here in Central Texas are looking to fill available positions and connect job seekers with company representatives through a virtual event.

Job seekers should be prepared with a current resume and a way to connect to employers through a computer or mobile device with internet access and video capabilities.

More that 70 positions are available right now in manufacturing, landscaping, accounting, and customer service, with employers looking to fill those jobs immediately.

Some of the companies that are partnering with Workforce Solutions of Central Texas include City of Copperas Cove, Coryell Health, GC Services, Pactiv, Vision Semiconductor Solutions, and Walmart to name a few.

Texas hasn't been immune from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent shutdowns and quarantines. The Texas Tribute reported late last month that about 2.2 million Texans have field for unemployment during the pandemic.
