It’s Time For The One Thing That Many In The State Of Texas Hate: Cedar Fever Season
Nobody ever likes feeling sick. Not only do you just not feel good at all, you aren't allowed to see those you care about for fear of getting them sick too. So, to say the least, it's not fun.
But sometimes, people in Texas feel sick, but aren't sick at all. This is caused by the area around us. Whether it be the season we're in, or perhaps just something in the air, mild annoyances aren't fun either. Sadly, one big irritation is back in Texas.
What could be the plague of Texas right now that has just begun? None other than Cedar Fever Season.
What Is Cedar Fever And Why Is Affecting Texans?
According to FOX 7 Austin, Cedar Fever season is annoyingly in full swing. It began this month of December, is set to continue until February of 2025. Greater Austin Allergy, via comments from Dr. Ronald Cox, stated people have already started feeling the effects:
"What's unique about Cedar Fever is it actually feels like you do have a fever and wipes people out..."This one actually makes you feel bad."
So for those in the Central Texas area trying to avoid it, what can they do? Well Dr. Cox told FOX 7 Austin that "A lot of people will have itchy, runny, sneeze and if that's your main complaint, the over-the-counter antihistamines work well for that."
Other ways to avoid having to deal with various symptoms is to not open your windows at home, which would allow the pollen to enter your place of residence. Also, you should check how bad the pollen will be day-by-day.
So, it's cedar fever season Texas! Get ready to sniffle!
