Cedar fever season is most definitely here in Central Texas, and many of us are feeling the effects. Texans have been completely miserable, including myself, over the last couple of weeks as cedar pollen has made its way across the great state. I’ve never seen so many runny noses, puffy eyes, sneezing fits, and itchy throats—but what do you expect? It’s cedar fever season.

The "Hidden" HEB Product Central Texans Swear By For Cedar Fever Relief

For a very long time, Texans have tried all types of remedies, from gargling salt water to soothe the back of the throat, eating local honey for allergies, taking over-the-counter medicines, and drinking herbal teas. Recently, H-E-B—also known as the “magic store” in Texas (because who doesn’t love H-E-B?)—has come up with a potential solution for the cedar fever problem.

There’s A "Cure" For Cedar Fever At HEB, But There's A Catch

In my opinion, there’s not much H-E-B can do wrong here in Texas. We like to refer to it as the magic store because it literally has everything you could want. And technically, the item to soothe your cedar fever is also at H-E-B—though unfortunately, maybe not at this exact moment. The Texas Cedar Fever brand has made its way to H-E-B, and it’s helping thousands of Texans everywhere. Keep in mind, though, for a 2-ounce bottle you’re looking at about $25.90, and a 4-ounce bottle is somewhere close to $50. It’s pricey, but from what I’ve heard, Texans are saying it’s worth it.

The homeopathic allergy drops provide relief for cedar fever symptoms. It works by building immunity through micro-doses of what a person is allergic to, helping the body tolerate allergens better and reducing symptoms. Sounds like the perfect medicine—sign me up, right? Here is the problem in Central Texas: every Texan seems to have a bottle because of how well it works. I personally called stores from Temple all the way to Copperas Cove to see if any bottles were available. Unfortunately, they were completely off the shelves. When I went to check for myself at the Harker Heights H-E-B, they were gone.

HEB’s Cedar Fever Cure: The Hunt Is On

So keep this in mind, Texans—if you’re a victim of cedar fever, the minute these bottles hit the shelves, you need to grab one, or you may be out of luck. I’m waiting for the next batch as we speak. Cedar fever has definitely won the battle over me.
