Chaundra Dixon, who is a mother here in Central Texas world was turned completely upside down about 3years ago when she found out that her son MJ was diagnosed with leukemia. As a single mother, she found herself struggling with the fact that her child could possibly not be able to live through it.

A MOTHER'S LOVE IS UNBREAKABLE

I spoke with Chaundra, and she explained to me that finding out that her son had leukemia three years ago during the Covid pandemic is probably one of the most challenging things she’s ever done in her life. Dixon says it started out as simple as her child explaining to her that he just had some leg pain. Once the leg pain became continuous, during a snowstorm here in Killeen, Dixon drove to Temple, where she was told that her child will be battling leukemia.

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD

I spoke with this AMAZING woman today. I literally never said a word until she was finished to hold back the tears. What I love about the story is Chaundra never lost her faith in God, she says how her guardian angel protected her and her son through all the trials and tribulations. Dixon literally began to lose her finances and this also played with her mental health. Dixon really is an inspiration to all mothers and patients out there. Dixon says Doctor told her the only thing that may save Mj's life is extra chemotherapy. There were no options left, and Dixon decided to proceed with excessive chemotherapy. Even though Dixon had a go fund account, it wasn’t really receiving the attention she needed, until Baton Rouge, hip-hop, artist Boosie, volunteer to pay the hospital fees and because of that more celebrities began to contribute.

On August 11th, 1901 S. HK Dodgen Loop in Temple Texas at the Baylor Scott and White Hospital on the 5th floor, after three years of all the travel tribulations MJ is considered CANCER FREE and will get to ring the cancer-free bell! And at 2:30 Central Texas is invited to come out to the Civic Center to help celebrate and save a life. I truly cannot explain how much I admire this mother, who kept her faith in God and protected her child at all costs. This is not only to celebrate but you will save a life as well.
