Super Fuels In Texas Facing Lawsuit From Buc-ee’s For Their Branding
Buc-ee's is very well known around the nation, especially here in the state of Texas. It has been recently reported that Buc-ee's main company has now brought legal action against another Lone Star State gas station. Here's what is known at the time of writing.
Why Did Buc-ee's Bring A Lawsuit Against Super Fuels?
According to MySanAntonio, the logo of Super Fuels is what Buc-ee's is taking issue with. Per the document:
[Super Fuels’] use of the infringing marks is likely to cause confusing among consumers in the relevant market as to the source and origin of [Super Fuels’] services... [Super Fuels’] infringing marks prominently feature an anthropomorphic and cartoon representation of a smiling animal that closely resembles a beaver, which is similarly positioned in a right-facing angle and is depicted in front of a circular background.”

Is This The First Time Buc-ee's Has Brought A Lawsuit Against Another Company?
MySA reports that this isn't the first time the company has filed a lawsuit against another brand. A company in Kansas City, Duckee's, had a logo that the company did not like, according to the lawsuit:
“On information and belief, Duckees is using the DUCKEES’ Word Trademark and DUCKEES’ logo with full knowledge of Buc-ee’s rights, and in bad faith and with willful, malicious and deliberate intent to trade on Buc-ee’s substantial recognition, reputation, and goodwill."
At the time writing of writing, Super Fuels hasn't responded. As this is developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
