The Brooklyn Nets are celebrating the life and legacy of the Notorious B.I.G. in a massive way.

As unveiled Thursday (Nov. 1), the team will be sporting new uniforms, inspired by the legendary rapper.

The 2018-2019 City Edition uniform design, which will be worn by the team for a total of 19 games during the season, features a black jersey with a vibrant, multicolored Coogi-themed pattern that lines the sleeves, sides and neckline, as well as runs down the accompanying shorts.

On top of the Coogi detail, each "Spread Love" jersey features a custom Bed Stuy mark designed by graffiti artist Eric Haze.

"Nice mixture," DeMarre Carroll shared with the NBA. "It's not too much. I think that's the goal. The designer who did it was awesome, because they got the right amount of flashy, but not too flashy. It's great. I think it's great not only for the organization but it's great for the city of Brooklyn. To pay homage to somebody who means so much to Brooklyn and put Brooklyn on the map. When you say Brooklyn, you think of Biggie. Hopefully these jerseys can bring a rich diversity and unity to the fans and the organization."

The uniforms will make their official debut on the court on Saturday, Nov. 17. The team is slated to take on the Los Angeles Clippers.

Last year, on March 12, the team played homage to Biggie, with the rapper getting a banner hung at the Barclays Center in his honor. The celebration was made official by brief speeches from those close to the late legend, including Faith Evans and Diddy. Lil’ Kim also made a special appearance during the ceremony.
