It looks like Brandy wasn’t feeling Monica’s classy response to her throwing alleged shade over the #sofargonechallenge. The “Missing You” singer clapped back at Monica after she appeared on The Real and said she's not bothered by Brandy's remarks.

To bring you up to speed, Brandy and Monica's feud dates all the way back into the 90s with their duet, "The Boy Is Mine." Apparently, the song just got too real for them.

Fast forward to 2016. When a fan requested Brandy to do the #SoFarGoneChallenge, a viral rapping meme among fans and artists featuring Monica's Missy Elliot produced hit, "So Gone," Brandy responded, "Chile Bye."

On Monday (Sept. 12), Monica appeared on The Real to further explain how she felt about Brandy's #SoFarGoneChallenge diss.

“I’m not bothered at all,” she said. “This is what I always say, honestly. The old me and the new me are two different things. This journey of self-progression and self-love and empowerment that I’m on, I can’t go backwards. I think that was just a test from God for me. I’ve always thought that she was one of the most legendary people and has one of the most amazing voices, and her runs and riffs."

So what did Brandy think about her response? On Sunday (Sept. 11), the singer went on her Instagram account and posted a photo of herself - with her luxurious braided hairstyle - and wrote, "#Inspire is the only reason #IAm."

But the hashtags that follow say it all: #IKnowTHEREALStoryThatEverybodyDoesntKnow - #NewKeyOnKeyNewMeOnMe #MissSubstance - #PositivityIsTheOneThingYouShouldNotFake

We don't know where this beef is headed but there is a silver lining in all of this pettiness. Monica did say that she's willing to reunite with Brandy.

“I would work with her again,” she told the ladies of The Real. “It’s never been an easy situation, but the reason I would do it is because we are from a special elite group. It was her, Aaliyah, and myself and it was a very special time where each of us were individuals, we did our own thing, and we all made our own mark. And the truth and reality of it is that the only Grammy either of us has is together (for their single "The Boy Is Mine"). So, that to me says something special. So yeah, I absolutely would.”
