BEWARE: Texans Are Warned About Poisoning Danger From Recalled Laundry Pods
According to KCRA laundry day may become a little more dangerous in Texas and here’s why. Like most Americans, certain popular brands of laundry detergents are used. These products are so popular to use for household laundry, that Procter & Gamble had to recall more than 8 million packages of the liquid laundry detergent, pods due to dangerous defects that could make the colorful packs accessible to children and other people.
WHAT BRANDS ARE RECALLED?
It’s important to take this recall seriously because the laundry pods are severely poisonous and will put you at risk. Consumer Product Safety Commission reported that the flexible, child-resistant bags of Procter & Gamble liquid laundry detergent can be split open near the zipper. Tide, Gain flings, Ace pods, and Aerial pod recall started between September 2023 and February 2024. Procter & Gamble stated that "while the product inside remains safe to use, we are voluntarily recalling a limited number of laundry, pack bags and providing consumers with replacement bags."
WHY ARE PODS SO DANGEROUS?
Even though consumers were told about the severe dangers of the laundry pods a decade ago, the company still shows that it was important to let consumers know exactly what was going on. There have been thousands of recalls due to laundry pods, and exposures. These pods to small children could resemble candy, something fun and squishy to play with, and even fun, but please keep in mind that this highly concentrated detergent can have serious risks if exposed.
