I’m beginning to believe that a pandemic is possible, in the great state of Texas needs to prepare itself. According to The Horizon Sun, nearly 2,000,000 chickens have been affected by Bird Flu. Most chickens affected by the virus were located on farms in Texas and controlled by the largest egg producer in the United States.

Even though Bird Flu has been detected in 48 states, Texas is the only state that has more cases of Bird Flu found in humans. This was discovered on April 1 when a dairy worker in Texas tested positive for avian influenza after having contact with a cow. The CDC has been thoroughly investigating this case since the first Incident.

WHAT SYMPTOMS DOES THE DISEASE HAVE?

Even though the Texas employee has shown minor symptoms, and could likely recover from the virus, Bird Flu needs to be taken very seriously because you have incidents where it leads to death. Texans are told to be very safe and watch for any signs or symptoms of possible bird flu. Avian influenza symptoms are very similar to having the flu or even the common cold. Coughing, headaches, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, sore throats, chills, fatigue, congestion,  runny nose, and muscle/body aches, are symptoms to keep an eye on please stay safe, Texas.
