HEB Fourth of July American Family Fun Fest at Miller Park 

Starting at 4 PM, Miller Park (1919 N 1st St) will host Temple's 21st American Family Fun Fest with free live music, inflatables, and a splash pad. Food and craft vendors will be there, and families are welcome to bring picnic baskets and coolers, as well as lawn chairs and blankets for sitting back and enjoying the fireworks show at 9:30 PM!

Fort Hood Independence Day Celebration Fort Hood will host the Fort Hood Independence Day Celebration (formerly known as the Fort Hood Freedom Fest) from 4-10:30 PM at Fort Hood Stadium, located behind Clear Creek Commissary on Tank Destroyer Boulevard. The event is free and open to the public.

This year's headliners are Texas natives Blue October! There'll be HEB cart races, children's inflatables, an MP dog demonstration, and a Salute to the Nation ceremony.

The celebration will also include a thirty minute fireworks show synchronized with patriotic music at 9:30 PM.

The fireworks at Fort Hood are an annual local tradition that the entire community looks forward to. If you can't make it to Fort Hood, but you're in Killeen, be sure to look to the skies above for an epic fireworks spectacle. Check out this video of the finale of 2016's fireworks spectacular.

 

Belton's 4th of July Celebration and PRCA Rodeo

No one does 4th of July with as much passion, planning, and enthusiasm at Belton, and they aim to make this year's celebration even bigger and better!

The carnival is already going on at Confederate Park, so you can get an early start to celebrating whenever you like.

The PRCA Rodeo happens at the Bell County Expo Center Sunday and Monday night at 7 PM.

Tuesday is when Belton's 4th of July bash really shines.

It all starts with the 3rd Annual Freedom Breakfast from 6:30-9:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 205 E. 3rd. Stop by and get some free pancakes, and help support the Central Texas Children's Center, which provides aid and activities to special needs kids.

A patriotic program will show honor to the founders and defenders of our nation downtown at 9:00 AM.

At 10:00 AM, the parade starts. If you've never been, do yourself a favor and get there early to stake out a good spot. Belton's 4th of July parade is among the best in the nation. If you can't make it out, you can hear a live broadcast beginning at 10:00 AM on KTEM 1400 AM on your radio and at ktemnews.com/listen-live on your streaming device. We'll also have videos and photos on this website, so keep an eye out!

After the parade, head to Yettie Polk Park for the free Festival on Nolan Creek! There'll be plenty of activities for families, as well as life music from the Brett Hendrix Band from Noon to 2:00 PM!

At 7:00 PM, head to Schoepf's Bar-B-Que for the Rodeo Round-Up featuring live music from Kyle Park. Stick around for the fireworks following the concert!
