10 Best and Worst Moments at 2015 MTV Video Music Awards

Nicki Minaj called out Miley Cyrus at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards for comments she made regarding her tiff with Taylor Swift. During her acceptance speech for Best Hip-Hop Video, the Queen Barbz thanked her fans and her pastor before zeroing in on Cyrus. “Now back to this bitch who had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what’s good?” she said.

Apparently, Cyrus was caught off guard by the rapper's comments. She responded, "We’re all in this industry. We all do interviews. We all know how they manipulate. Nicki, congratulations." No word if Minaj and Cyrus officially squashed their beef after the show was over.

When it comes to awards shows, Miley Cyrus hasn't disappointed in recent years when it's come to her attire. She's known for wearing outlandish outfits, but she went bonkers with her fashion choices as the host of this year's VMAs. The "Wrecking Ball" singer looked ridiculous in a variety of outfits she wore while hosting the festivities.

On the red carpet, Cyrus donned a revealing outfit that had metallic silver suspenders, which barely covered her boobs, and a crystal beaded skirt that revealed her booty. Simply put, her space-age dress was tacky and not particularly flattering. When it came time to command the stage as host, barely-there outfits with strategically-placed fabric and decorations made sure she didn't cause a nip slip.

Nicki Minaj kicked off the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards with a sensual mash-up of The Pinkprint tracks "Trini Dem Girls" and "The Night Is Still Young." But the highlight came near the end of her performance when Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance and joined the rapper for a brief performance of her hit single, “Bad Blood.”

This pretty much ends their feud that started last month when Minaj complained about her “Anaconda” video being snubbed from the Video of the Year category. Minaj suggested that if she were white and had a different body type that her visual would have garnered more nods. Swift believed that Minaj racial comment was directed toward her and accused the Young Money MC of using social media “to pit women against each other.”

But it looks like the two have buried the bad blood (see what we did there?) and are friends now. Could we possibly see a Swift-Minaj collaboration in the future? That doesn't sound far off considering the singer pronounced her love for her Minajesty after their stage union.

Kanye West gave a rather long acceptance speech after accepting his Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award but MTV made sure to let him finish without any interruptions. After his looong harangue about awards shows and dying for his art, he told the audience he plans to run for president in 2020. “I have decided in 2020 to run for president,” he revealed much to the crowd's delight.

Iggy Azalea made a guest appearance during Demi Lovato's sexy MTV VMA performance of "Cool for the Summer." But the Twitterverse wasn't having it. Fans went on Twitter to voice their displeasure of having the Aussie rhymer mess up Lovato's performance with her indecipherable rhymes. One person tweeted, "Demi and Iggy performing together is honestly trash," while another fan commented, "Iggy literally popped onstage during Demi's performance to gargle for 5 seconds and then descended back into hell."

Amber Rose and Blac Chyna made a bold statement on the red carpet with their matching slut-shaming outfits at the 2015 MTV VMAs. Rose donned a bodysuit that was decorated in derogatory terms used against women like “stripper,” “whore” and “gold digger,” while Chyna wore a dress with harsh words like “slut,” “bitch” and “hoe” painted on it. The ladies would later convey their message of combating hate and slut-shaming by twerking in an Uber car. Arguably, Rose and Chyna's controversial outfits are certainly giving their haters something to talk about.

The Weeknd's fiery performance of his No. 1 single, "Can't Feel My Face," was one of the many highlights at the VMAs. The Canadian crooner had everyone up and dancing including Kanye West. While Abel Tesfaye was displaying some fancy footwork onstage a la Michael Jackson (did you catch that spin?), 'Ye was spotted grooving to the beat up on his feet. Even Taylor Swift showed how uncoordinated she is when it comes to dancing, but she was still feeling the vibe. The 2015 MTV VMAs was a special night for Big Sean and John Legend. The G.O.O.D. Music members each won their first Moonman for the empowering visual "One Man Can Change the World," which earned the Best Video With a Social Message. Kanye West also came up onstage to receive the honor (his 20th according to Sean Don). During Big Sean's touching acceptance speech, the Detroit rhymer said the song was a tribute to his late grandmother, Mildred Virginia Leonard, who was one of the first black female captains in World War II. "She made crazy accolades," he stated. "And one person to show me that one man -- man being human being -- male or female can change the world."
