Belton ISD made the decision to go with "Scenario 4" for the upcoming semester.

With the first day of school coming on September 8, Belton ISD has laid out plans for the students' return to class. It'll be "Scenario 4."

Sydney Isenberg from Channel 25 reports that Belton ISD will stay with Scenario 4 till at least October 2.

Here's a snapshot of "Scenario 4" as laid out on Belton ISD's website:

- Elementary and Middle School students will attend in-person classes four days a week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday will be a deep cleaning day at the schools and students will work from home.

- High School students will be separated into groups with group 1 attending in school classes on Mondays and Tuesdays and at home learning on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Group 2 will have at home learning on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with students in class on Thursdays and Fridays.

Also according to the report, Scenario 4 will give students in Functional Academics, Life Skills, AIMS and Delta to classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Staff members will talk with those families next week.

The decision to go with Scenario 4 was made after school officials had talks with local medical professionals on the public health situation in Bell County.

Does this scenario sound like it may work? What are your thoughts about the decision?
