Bellmead Shoplifter Caught With Disturbing Photos of a Minor, Police Say

Brayden James Pilgrim, 20 years old, a Bellmead resident, has found himself in trouble after being caught on camera being a little too friendly with an underage child while shoplifting, according to KWTX.

From Shoplifting to Serious Charges: Bellmead Man's Arrest Stuns Community

There were pornographic photos found on his phone of a juvenile, which led to the arrest warrant. The shoplifter was charged with theft and possession of child pornography. According to the court documents, it was September 18 when Bellmead Police Department officers reported to the Walmart at 1520 Interstate 35 to investigate the theft.

The police found out that Pilgrim and a young lady were stealing from the retailer, and loss prevention employees reported to the police that Pilgrim was on the surveillance footage, putting his fingers in the girl’s mouth, and then the girl tried to bite his fingers. Even though Pilgrim had a conversation with the officers, he denied any inappropriate relationship with a girl, but once Pilgrim gave the police officers his password to unlock his phone, that is where it was evidence of text messages with the minor, and where the police realized these individuals were more than just friends. Pilgrim has been arrested and booked in the McLennan County jail, but has been released on bond
