BREAKING: Woman Contractor in Falls County Faces Multiple Felony Theft Charges
At first glance, you wouldn’t think this individual fits the image of a thief. Sellman could easily be mistaken for a school teacher, a choir instructor, or even a devoted housewife. But this only underscores the saying: “Criminals don’t have a specific look.”Sellman now faces two counts of theft of property valued at more than $30,000 but less than $150,000, and one count of theft of property of the same value from an elderly person, which is classified as a second-degree felony.
An affidavit filed in McLennan County states that Sellman allegedly stole nearly $60,000 from a victim between December 26, 2024, and March 5, 2025. Financial records show that Sellman used the funds for personal expenses, including vehicle payments, dental hygiene, hair care, vacations for her family, and clothing.
Investigators noted in the affidavit that there was little indication any of the money was used to support Sellman's business or to construct anything for the victim’s residence. Of the total amount advanced to Sellman, approximately $58,948 appears to have been used strictly for personal gain.
