BE ALERT :Black Clothing Is Banned In Texas Schools
Texas schools are buckling down when it comes to the dress code, at one point if a child was out of the Texas school district's dress code, the parents were definitely on board, but as of recently, according to News 9, there’s been numerous amounts of backlash for a new dress code violation coming from parents here in Texas.
IS THIS FAIR OR IS THIS A LITTLE TOO DRAMATIC?
Spaghetti, straps shirts, mini skirts, bonnets, hats, pajama pants, or even Crocs make sense to me when it comes to, making these particular items a dress code violation here in Texas, but a school in Texas says black clothing will no longer be allowed on campus and parents are not happy about this. A Texas middle school principal stated that black is no longer a color that will be allowed on school campuses since" mental health" plays a part when children are wearing a particular color. As a parent myself,
BLACK IS BANNED HERE IN TEXAS
I can agree with the fact that flip-flops, pajama pants, bonnets, hats, and symbols or derogatory words on clothing should not be in any school district, but eliminating the color black could be difficult for some parents. When shopping for your children sometimes the color black is the only option or the cheapest option. Even though the backlash has been tremendous, the school district has not made any changes to the school year's dress code. We will have to see further into the school year if the new violations will change.
