Texas TikTok influencers might be in the unemployment line now that big changes are being made, according to statesman news. For almost a decade TikTok, a social media app that allows individuals to make short videos on their mobile devices and WebCams. WILL TEXAS SAY FAREWELL TO TIKTOK?

Even though the creative app brings so many people joy it is a possibility that the very popular app, known for its dance, trends, challenges, and even educational clips could be at its end. Today, Wednesday, March 13 the US House Representatives voted to pass the legislation that forces the creative app TikTok parent company to sell the popular social media app, or the United States will have to block the app from hosting Services and no longer be available in the App Store. The bill has not just made its way to the Senate, but if TikTok is banned from the United States, millions will be blocked from the app. There are tons of creators from the great state of Texas on the TikTok app. How will this affect them exactly?

WHY IS TIKTOK GETTING BANNED?

It’s simple if TikTok is banned, no more videos, no more clips, no more endorsements, which means no more money will be made from this app. United States, lawmakers allegedly feel as if the Chinese platform is harvesting data from those who have installed the app onto their electronic devices, and even though the CEO, of TikTok has repeatedly denied any allegations in front of the US Congress, the law will still pass and hundreds of thousands of Texas TikTokers will be out of a job. So my question is this without TikTok will Texas be able to survive? It might sound a little dramatic but some of your best recipes, skin care regiments, and even daily news come from TikTok. Will Texans have to go back to the Stone Age?
