Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ Makes About as Much Money as You’d Expect
Look, everyone knows that it's your obligation as a human being to go see a new 'Transfomrers' movie when it comes out whether you want to or not. It's the only explanation for the success of the past three films (since no one actually likes them) and it's the only explanation for the massive first weekend of 'Transformers: Age of Extinction,' which had the biggest opening of 2014 so far.
New ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ Clips Tease the Calm Before the War
All you needed to tell us to get our butts in the theater to see 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' is that it's a sequel to the fantastic 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes,' but these awesome trailers and clips are certainly sweetening the deal. The marketing barrage continues today with the release of two new clips from the film and a live Google+ hangout that will give fans a look at "exclusiv
New ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Footage Offers a New Look at Bradley Cooper’s Rocket Racoon
Once upon a time, we were completely starved for glimpses of Bradley Cooper's Rocket Raccoon in 'Guardians of the Galaxy.' Now, Marvel is practically giving away footage of the gun-toting, genetically modified fella! A new featurette on Marvel's latest blockbuster has arrived, and while it's light on details, it's heavy on new footage, offering us another look at what promises to be the nuttiest m
‘Predator’ Coming
Yep, Hollywood is planning a 'Predator' reboot. That shouldn't come as a surprise. What should come as a surprise is the man who has been hired to bring the project to life: Shane Black, the infamous screenwriter and director who already has a unique attachment to this franchise.
Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ & Rosario Dawson
If Marvel's 'Daredevil' series is setting the template for the kind of casting we'll see in all of their upcoming shows, color us excited. The latest addition to the cast is Rosario Dawson, who has joined the 13-episode series in a mystery role. The details are scarce at the moment, but it's tough to recall a movie that wasn't actively boosted by her presence, so this could only be a good thing.
Weekend Box Office Report:
Unless your movie was named 'Jersey Boys,' this was a pretty excellent weekend at the box office for all parties involved. A new film opened big in the number one spot, last week's champions held on strong, and others continued to perform well further down the charts. But boy, it really kinda' sucks to be 'Jersey Boys.'
Weekend Box Office Report:
Everyone expected '22 Jump Street' and 'How to Train Your Dragon 2' to open well, but you won't find many people who expected the raunchy R-rated comedy to open bigger than the family friendly animated adventure. But here we are! Both films opened well, but '22 Jump Street,' like the first film, is has taken a hammer to all expectations.
‘Dumb and Dumber Are Back!
The first 'Dumb and Dumber 2' trailer will officially arrive with '22 Jump Street' next week, but you don't have to wait until then to get a new look at Harry and Lloyd's grand return. A new poster debuted online and it showcases the return of a major character from the original film -- yes, we're talking about the stupid car shaped like a dog.
New Disney Infinity 2.0 Trailer Teases Spider-Man, Iron Fist and More
By now, superhero fans have long since accepted that the chances of seeing Spider-Man appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are slim at best. As long as Sony holds the rights to the character, they're going to keep making Spidey movies until the day the Earth stops spinning and the human race quietly fades into nothingness.
At least you'll be able to create your own Spider-Man/Avengers team-up with the upcoming Disney Infinity 2.0, which will include a cool Spider-Man playset. You can watch the super-goofy trailer for it above!
‘Leprechaun: Origins’ Trailer: A Horror Icon Gets a Makeover
The original 'Leprechaun' may be relatively well known among genre fans, but it's not particularly good or well liked. So we're fairly open minded about the upcoming remake/reboot, 'Leprechaun: Origins,' and bring almost no baggage to the new trailer. After all, we're sure someone is capable of taking one of the silliest (to a fault) horror franchises of all time and making it work as a dark and deadly film. Right? Right?!
