Over the Fourth of July weekend, the Central Texas area was devastated by a large amount of rain. As residents in the state continue to regroup from the damage, some people are looking around to help. For many animals in the state, Texans have come to their rescue.

Per KXAN, the storms could not have come at a worse time for the Lone Star State. Austin Wildlife Rescue told the news organization that "baby season” is underway, and the rain has severely affected it. Per the organization on Facebook;

Per the post: “While wildlife is adapted to handle life out in the wild, unprecedented or unusual weather impacts our native wildlife very much.”
