Grammy Award-nominated singer Angie Stone had some major family issues on Monday (March 9). The Black Diamond creator was arrested in Georgia for assaulting her daughter.

According to TMZ, Stone was charged with aggravated assault after an argument with her 30-year-old daughter Diamond turned physical. Stone reportedly told police her daughter punched her in the face and she defended herself with a metal stand. The blow to Diamond's face apparently knocked out her two front teeth.

Once Stone realized Diamond was toothless -- the singer said it was accidental  -- she dropped the weapon and tried to flee the scene. However, according to Stone’s version of the incident, Diamond was relentless and charged her 53-year-old mother again. Finally, a family member was able to dissolve the situation and authorities were called.

Diamond was also taken into custody, but later released without charges. She disclosed to officers that the fight started when Stone chimed in on her parenting skills.

Back in May 2011, Stone was also arrested in Georgia for speeding and driving with a suspended license.
