Angelina Jolie is about to add another Oscar to her collection, but this one is being awarded to her for all her humanitarian work over the years and has nothing to do with her prowess at playing a mentally disturbed person.

The 2013 Governors Awards are about two months from now, but it was announced yesterday that Jolie would be taking home an honorary statuette in a ceremony set to take place on Nov. 16.

While there, Jolie will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, which is given to "an individual in the motion picture industry whose humanitarian efforts have brought credit to the industry."

Past recipients of the award include Oprah Winfrey, Jerry Lewis, Quincy Jones, Paul Newman, Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn.

Also being honored at this year's event alongside Jolie are Angela Lansbury, Steve Martin and costume designer Piero Tosi.

"The Governors Awards pay tribute to individuals who've made indelible contributions in their respective fields," Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs explained. "We couldn't be more excited for this year's honorees and look forward to bringing their peers and colleagues together to celebrate their extraordinary achievements."
