Copperas Cove ISD is asking for prayers for three students involved in a Friday morning crash on FM 1113 in Topsey.

As reported by KCEN-TV, Department of Public Safety officials say the students were headed westbound on FM 1113 in a Toyota truck when their vehicle collided with a Chevrolet pickup near the intersection of FM 580 in Topsey.

The driver of the Toyota was a 16-year-old male who was transported to Carl R Darnall Army Medical Center, while a 15-year-old passenger was taken to Baylor Scott and White Medical in Temple. A 14-year-old passenger who was riding in the bed of the Toyota was thrown from the truck bed upon impact. He was flown to Baylor Scott and White in Temple. The driver of the second vehicle was a 58-year-old man from Marble Falls who was also transported to an unnamed area hospital.

All 3 students are members of the Copperas Cove's Pride of Cove Band who skipped performing at the High School football game on Friday. Copperas Cove ISD is asking the community for prayers for the students and their bandmates. The names of the students have not yet been released.
