Grammy-winning artists Kendrick Lamar, Mariah Carey, Maxwell and others are among the headliners for the 2016 Essence Music Festival, which is set to take place in New Orleans.

Other artists scheduled to perform include Ciara, Babyface, Dej Loaf, Charlie Wilson, Tyrese, Andra Day, Leon Bridges, Jeremih, Estelle, BJ the Chicago Kid, Faith Evans, Lalah Hathaway, New Edition, Tink, Robert Glasper, Lion Babe, U.K. rapper Lady Leshurr and more. And there’s still more music acts to be announced.

“The Essence Festival is back in New Orleans with an extraordinary roster of the biggest names and best performers in entertainment - from global music icons to the industry’s rising stars,” said Essence President Michelle Ebanks in a press release. “We are welcoming Kendrick Lamar, Mariah Carey and Maxwell to headline the Superdome main stage...[for] the ultimate cultural experience in New Orleans this July 4th weekend.”

The 22nd annual event is being held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on June 30 to July 3 and will feature empowerment seminars during the day and hot music performances at night.
