Three people have been killed over the new Michael Jordan shoe since its release in December. Senseless loss of life of young people who want to own a popular shoe.  If you look beyond the surface, it's a serious problem that needs to be addressed.  The shoe is issued in limited quantities, and it comes with a pretty hefty price tag.  My first question is, why such limited release, when they know the buying frenzy the shoe creates? And secondly, while I have a fairly good grasp on the concept of supply and demand, why does the shoe have to be so costly?  Who's really to blame for the crimes and violence surrounding these shoes?  Why not produce more shoes and lower the price?  IJS. Lord knows they make enough profit to do so.  Please share your thoughts...
