29-year-old Dana Tackett was arrested and charged Tuesday with intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle.

Tackett was driving in the wrong direction on Highway 190 in Nolanville shortly after midnight on July 10 when she slammed head-on into a car carrying 29-year-olds Maoto Esau and Dante Fair. Fair was killed in the collision, leaving behind a wife and 6-year-old son. Esau continues to recover.

Nolanville Police Chief Gary L. Kent said the arrest came after weeks of thorough investigation. If convicted, Tackett could face up to 20 years in prison.
