What’s Really Good In Central Texas: AYADD Youth Summit 2018

AYADD Outreach would like to extend an invitation to you and your youth group to join them on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Rivers of Living Waters in Killeen at 508 N. Gray Street for their annual Youth Summit.

The purpose of the summit is to raise awareness and give voice to some of the critical challenges that our youth and young adults face daily. Challenges include alcohol and drug use and abuse, STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases), Self-worth, Suicide, Human Trafficking and other troubling issues.

Human trafficking is a multi-billion dollar criminal industry, and has risen to become the second leading crime in the Central Texas area. Suicide is the third leading cause of death for 15-to 24- years old. Studies show that at least 90% of teens who kill themselves have some type of mental health problem, such as depression, anxiety, drug or alcohol abuse, or a behavior problem and believe this is their only way out.

Let's get our young people together and hear what they have to say and listen to what they are going through so we as adults and community leaders can help them find their way.
