With the Texas High School All Star Soccer Game only a week away, I thought I would take the opportunity to continue your soccer education.  Today's lesson is the difference between a yellow card and red card.    A yellow card is used as a caution by the official towards a player that has shown misconduct.  Generally two yellow cards equals a red card.  When a player receives a red card they are ejected from a game and must leave the field.  The team that the player that received a red card also can not substitute in another player for the ejected player.

This brings me back to the best red card ever.  It was in the World Cup in 2006 and the actual infraction happens around the 45 second mark.  Check it out!
